Central
Arizona Chapter
April Minutes
The April meeting was held on the 17th at the Marie
Callenders in Chandler.
Present at the meeting were Andy O'Brien, Bob
Rebsamen, Kent Taylor, Steve Young, Tim and Karen Johnson.
The meeting was called to order at 11:00 AM by Bob.
Old Business:
None
New Business:
- Chapter
Structures:
- Kent moved that we allow
Alfred to pick two of the structures as a thank you for hosting the
Chapter last year for module construction. The motion was seconded, and
carried.
- Treasurer's Report
- There is currently $160.18
in the treasury.
- Rail
Fair
- No data is available yet.
Bob will follow up and get schedules as soon as the information is
available.
- Module
Scenery
- Tim raised the point that
when planning the ground scenery for modules, they must match where the
modules meet. It was pointed out that the ETE Module SIG had a standard
for this. A check of the standard found "We use a layer of
light brown paint and an undercoating. While
this is still wet, sprinkle a layer of Woodland Scenics # T50 earth
blend.
Then on top of that,
sprinkle # T49 green blend.
This gives a very
satisfying green European look to the module, because
most of Europe is very green."
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:25.
Our next meeting is will be held on July 10 at Andy O'Brien's place.
Plan on a pot luck lunch around @ PM.
Reminder: Please bring any issues of Continental Modeler with you so
they can be passed on to others to read.
Respectfully submitted,
Tim Johnson, Secretary
