Central Arizona Chapter
April Minutes

The April meeting was held at the home of Tim and Karen Johnson in Tucson. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 by CJ. In attendance were C.J. Hanselman, Jim Poor (and Marge), Chuck Weart, Tim and Karen Johnson. Also present was Kent Taylor.

Old Business:
One end module piece is partially finished. Legs are needed to complete the construction. Three others are framed. Saturday, April 26 will be another work day for the modules at the home of Fred and Virginia Rayher.

New Business:
Jim Poor reports our balance remains at $30.

There was a discussion of membership with regard to getting new members and retaining our existing membership. The question was asked whether European manufacturers would help us promote ETE interest in our area. Would the national ETE help chapters in this way?

CJ will contact Blaine Bachman regarding how the national ETE can help recruit new members. He will also inquire whether it makes sense for Euro West to hold a meeting of chapter presidents (and officers) in order to get the pulse of the organization. Another question for Blaine is whether it makes sense to advertise the ETE in Model Railroader Magazine.

Jim Poor will ask authorities at McCormick Railroad Park if they will allow a flier posted on their bulletin board advertising our chapter.

It was agreed that posting the chapter's minutes on the our ETE web site might help prospective member learn more of what we area doing. Tim Johnson will handle this.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:15.

Respectfully submitted,

Tim Johnson, Secretary.
